OUR QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Our company, has been continuously manufacturing agricultural chemicals since its foundation, being one of the oldest companies in the agricultural chemicals industry. Hektaş has extended its area of activity to veterinary pharmaceuticals in 2005. The basic reason for being the leader in the market for many years, as a company entirely formed by domestic capital, is the "confidence" of the client in HEKTAŞ. We owe this confidence to our product variety, product quality, service network and our care for the protection of the environment. The basic goals of our company: To provide client satisfaction by meeting the expectations of the clients fully, to include chemicals that would be most suitable for the flora and ecological structure of our country in our product portfolio, to maintain our leadership in the industry as well as our profitability, to protect the environment by meeting all legal obligations concerning the environment, to control, reduce and prevent all the elements which would result in environmental pollution and contamination,to cooperate with our suppliers as well as our clients for the protection of the environment, to fulfill our commitments within the framework of the Responsible Care, to take all necessary precautions towards all kinds of emergencies and accidents, to contribute to the sustainable development by optimizing the consumption of all kinds of resources in all stages, to target "continuous improvement" while planning our activities. Our most important resource for these activities is our staff. Our main goal is to let our employees act as "a single team" in accordance with the goals of the Company. I believe that our journey to quality which commenced in 1996 will continue for many years, in a sense of integrity with our partners, suppliers, clients and employees. Kocaeli, October 24th, 2007 HEKTAŞ has acquired BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certificate in 1996 from BVQI, an international institution of accreditation and was also entitled to acquire the certificate of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System after the documentation audit conducted in 2002. HEKTAŞ considers the protection of the environment as an attitude of respect to the society rather than a legal liability and lays special emphasise on the protection of human life, environment and the natural resources and for offering better conditions for living. It has assumed responsibilities for utilizing the resources more effectively and efficiently, reducing wastes at their sources, protecting the environment and the health of the people in order to provide an unpolluted environment for the next generations. While fulfilling such responsibilities, the developments in the world in accordance with the sustainable development principles has been followed and a continuous improvement in every stage of our activities has been adopted. As a consequence of such studies, Hektaş has made a commitment to provide the continuous improvement of its performance in "environment - security - health" by undersigning the principle of "Responsible Care" in 1996 and was honored with the "Responsible Care Environment Award" in 1997 as a result of these activities. Our Company, has acquired the certificate of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System from BVQI for the Gebze Plant and The Head Office after the certification check on 27-28 December 2004 which was one of the quality goals of our company. Şanlıurfa Plant has acquired the certificate of ISO 14001 from BVQI in 2005 after the certification check. Besides, after the certification check of ISO 9001 and 14001 in Gebze Plant, our Regional Offices have been enclosed in the certificate scope. ISO9001 " Quality Management System " and ISO 14001 " Environmental Management System " shows the system quality that Hektaş reached about design, production and plant stages.
